Hamid Benhach is our Chef Patron, Director of the company.

Hamid's incredible talent was spotted at an early age by his grandmother, who ran her own business catering for grand weddings and funerals in Casablanca. The young Hamid's  flair and creativity in the kitchen made it obvious to her that one day he would follow in her footsteps.

Hamid began working in an illustrious restaurant near Barcelona in 1989 at the age of 20, working his way up to head chef in some of the city's finest retaurants. He was determined to learn all aspects of the business. He has washed pots and pans, scrubbed potatoes, fried tortilla, flambéed crema catalana and after 16 years experience and hard work, he has acquired a wonderous knowledge and passion for both Spanish and Catalan cuisine, alongside traditional French cooking.

His unrivalled knowledge of Spanish and Moroccan cuisine puts Hamid in a unique position to give Glasgow a totally new culinary experience. The food will be sophisticated and wholesome, sourced locally to provide the freshest possible seasonal ingredients and served to order in a mouth-watering fusion of true Mediterranean flavour and style.

We are a family business, husband and wife team and have had the dream to run our own restaurant for many years. It was not until last year, March 2005, that we found premises that we thought we could make our mark on.
